When barbecued, these tiny fish deliver a ton of flavour. You won’t spend much time or effort on these, but they are sure to be a huge hit with everyone.

Ingredients
10 sardine fillets
60 ml lemon juice
60 ml olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
Lemon wedges, for serving

Step 1
Combine the garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
Step 2
Make sure the sardines are well submerged in the marinade and set aside for an hour to absorb the flavours.
Step 3
Before adding the sardine fillets to the grill, preheat the BBQ and oil the grill.
Step 4
Ensure that the fish is fully done by grilling it for two minutes per side before removing it and plating it.
Step 5
You can accompany each fillet with a wedge of lemon and a side dish of your choosing.
