The ingredients for a mustard steak marinade are simple, and the result is delicious.
Ingredients
3 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp grated fresh root ginger
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp chopped coriander/cilantro leaves
4 rump or sirloin steaks, 2.5cm/1in thick
Directions
Step 1
Mix together the mustard, soy sauce, ginger, olive oil and coriander/cilantro. Smooth over the steaks, cover and leave in a cool place for about 4 hours.
Step 2
Cook the steaks on an oiled grill rack, turning once, for about 3–4 minutes on each side for rare steaks, 5–6 minutes on each side for medium steaks, or until cooked to your liking.
