Burgers prepared from scratch are the perfect BBQ treat. Because the grill imparts a hint of chargrilled flavor, the meat’s inherent tenderness is amplified, and the overall eating experience is elevated to a whole new level.
Time: 40 minutes | Serves: 6
Ingredients
500 g beef mince
6 burger buns
2 tbsp BBQ sauce (homemade or bought)
1 small white onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
½ little gem lettuce
2 beefsteak tomatoes
Cucumber slices
6 slices of Cheddar cheese (optional)
12 slices of pickles (optional)
Directions
Step 1
Put your beef mince, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and BBQ sauce in a sizable, clean bowl.
Step 2
Mix all of the ingredients together, making sure that everything is well combined and that they are distributed evenly throughout the mixture.
Step 3
Scoop out six burger-shaped patties from the mixture and form them with your hands.
Step 4
The burger patties are placed on the grill once the BBQ has reached a medium heat.
Step 5
Depending on how well-done you like your burgers, cook for 10 to 15 minutes on each side.
Step 6
When the burgers are almost done cooking, heat the buns on the grill and let them become a little toasty on the outside.
Step 7
If you want cheese on your burgers, add it about a minute before they’re done cooking.
Step 8
Take a bun, put some lettuce on the bottom half, then arrange the burger on top once the burgers are ready to eat. Add two slices of cucumber and a slice of tomato. Add a few pickle slices on top if you’re using pickles.
Step 9
Drizzle your favourite sauce over the top, such as ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or BBQ sauce, then close the bread with the top half. Serve and enjoy.
